The book "Rodeo History and Legends" has the history of the one-handed bareback rigging created by Earl in 1924.
Commissioned to design a trophy belt buckle for the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association National Final Rodeo.
Commissioned by the Texas Longhorn Quincentennial Commission to create artwork commemorating the 500 years of the longhorn cattle in North America, 1494-1994.
Commissioned by the Raymond Sports Hall of Fame to create artwork commemorating 70 years of rodeo's One-Hand Bareback Rigging.
Listed as a rodeo clown and bull fighter (1931-1937) in the book, "Fearless Funnymen - the History of the Rodeo Clown"
Listed in the library reference book, "Chase's Annual Events", as a rodeo pioneer and rodeo equipment inventor.
The Montana Historical Society places Earl's cowboy and rodeo gear in the year-long exhibit, "Riders Under the Sky" and Earl's art in the show, "The Horse in Art" at the Helena Museum. He is the only other Montana cowboy along with C.M. Russell to have items in both exhibits.
Received in 1995 his "1930 All-Around Champion" trophy belt buckle won at the 3 Bar Ranch Stampede, 65 years late.
Earl's death and funeral in 1995 was reported worldwide by the Associated Press Wire Service.
Earl was eulogized as a rodeo prioneer by radio news commentator Paul Harvey on his national program, "Paul Harvey and the News"
